The Lady may look like she has never worked a day in her life. But she is a hard worker. She is right there, working away in rain or shine with all the hold residence. She is not afraid of getting her hands dirty and is not above work of any kind. She loves people and animals even more. Espesially runners.

Personal History:
Helia was born to a set of holder parents that were very strict. They forbade their daughter from any sort of work and outdoor activities. The were adamant that their daughter would have the best upbringing and she would be the classiest lady in all of Pern. Hera and Meliam were very protective of their daughter and plotted her life out from the moment she was born.

Helia grew up very lonely. Because of her parents, she was forbidden from playing with the hold children Hera deemed 'unworhty of her daughter'. She would however, play with them in secret and during what little free time she was allowed. Meliam mostly ignored his daughter and consumed himself with the hold. He had affairs with many women and constantly brought in pillowcrafters to entertain himself. Helia's parents fought constantly and she was usually the reason. Helia saw and undestood everything that went on in and tried to help the holders as much as she could. She withdrew away from eveyone and found solice in her pet firelizard, her craft, and sneaking out to go for rides. She became very angry and plotted ways of escaping her life but feared her parents. The only reason Helia was allowed a craft was because her father was a beastcrafter and he admired Helia's skill. Her mother frowned heavily upon her daughter's craft and discouraged her from continueing in it but she was powerless against Meliam.

By the time Helia was of marrying age, she had few friends and almost no contact with boys. Helia drove away a number of suiters through the years because she found all of them to be either after her money or they didn't understand her. Frustrated with their daughter, Helia's parents convinced the Conclave to let Helia have Greenwood Hold since their niece, Lady Winafae had died in a runnerbeast accident. Helia being the closest living relative, (along with her parent's desire to stow thier daughter somewhere), was the obvious choice.

Pets:
Solana, runner; Leo, bronze firelizard; Marei, Gold Firelizard

Solana is a grey runnerbeast who has gone white as most greys will. A cream of the crop runner, Solana is well bred, strong and fast. A handful to ride, Helia saves people the trouble and takes care of her runnerbeast herself. .

Leo is a strong bronze firelizard. He is copper colored with very shiny skin. He is loyal and always knows when Helia needs someone to cry with. He is her conatant companion and best friend. He's very flirty and love to chase green and sometimes gold firelizards. He is very protective of his Lady and gets defensive when others get her attention or aggravate her.

Marei is truely a queen among flits. She holds her delicite golden head high and she is wonderfully graceful like her mistress. She requires a great deal of attention and care but she isn't unruley or nasty. She is the color of pure honey, with shiney, flawless scales and perfectly proportioned wings.

She isn't overly active but Marei couldn't really be called lazy either. She's more laid back. But invade her turf or upset her mistress and watch out! She's not above becoming angry or sometimes violent if crossed. She love's being scratched and she dislikes being cold. Her favorite place is curled up in front of a fire or under a large wool blanket.She also makes a great lap mate and she loves to snuggle.

As to flights, they are the only time you might see this normally quiet and placid gold get excited or energized. She loves being chased and will not settle for less than the very best male.
