Brief Description of Persona:
Rhyanna is fair to look at, certainly not an
unpleasant site, but considers herself rather homely. She sports smallish
breasts on a lean, almost boyish frame, weighing 112lbs. She stands a
comfortable 5'7", allowing her to exude both the feeling of authority, as well
as vulnerability (which has come in handy more times than she'd like to admit).
She has a large nose, broad cheekbones, and a pointed chin. Blue eyes peer out
under thick brows, setting off the handsome bronze color of her skin. Her hair
is a long mane of straight black hair, which she wears in all varieties of
styles, depending solely on her mood. She also bares a long deep scar on her
right arm from an accident as a candidate.
MRhyanna is not without her wiles, and has many
a'time used them to her advantage. She gauges every situation in silence before
speaking or acting, and calculates what she would have to do in order to get her
way. She is a flirt, but shares her bed only with those who have proven that
they deserve her. She is kind, and compassionate, but hard willed and stubborn
when she feels she must be. She is not shy, and will approach anyone she has
the whim to, which has allowed her to make friends easily. Her experiences with
dragons have made her run hot and cold with them. There are times when she
feels a deep shame in not having Impressed, but other times when she knows she
makes a better crafter than she ever could have a dragonrider.
Brief History of Persona:
Rhyanna was born the second child of a woodcrafter in
a Minor Hold in the North. Growing up around her father's work inspired her to
learn the art of furniture making. Her father, seeing a talent in her skills
that he was almost envious of asked a Master Woodcrafter friend at one of the
larger Holds to apprentice her. Rhyanna put her whole heart into becoming the
best furniture maker on Pern, but a Search dragon had other plans. At the age
of 14, she was taken to a Northern Weyr as a candidate. Her stand on the sands
resulted in disappointment and pain. The newborn gold dragonet, in the violence
before Impression, gashed Rhyanna's arm as she pushed her aside for another
girl. Rhyanna stayed on at the Weyr for a short time, but her shame in having
been passed up by the gold hatchling manifested itself in a renewed interest in
her woodcrafting. She left the Weyr to continue her training with her Master,
and walked the tables to become a Journeywoman at the age of 18. She spent the
first few years after that trying to get her work noticed by working Gathers and
doing trades for the things she needed. After enough of the dragonriders she
had once almost been a part of saw and admired her work, she was requested by a
woodcrafter in a northern Weyr to join him. Usure that going back to the weyr
was a good idea, but desperately wanting to live in the Weyr again, she agreed.
When a second woodcrafter joined her at the Weyr, she decided that she needed a
change, and requested that Coral Reef Hold allow her to do her craft among
its rank.
Description of Pets:
Phadron is a short hair canine, bred in the north for both
speed and agility. His coat is a dark grey and his ears are on the floppy side.
He is a loyal companion to Rhyanna, who bought him to race at Gathers, but never
got around to training him. He rarely leaves Rhyanna's side , and is quite fond
of dragons. He is a good watchdog, but will not bite.
