Craft Rank: Jr. Apprentice

Pet Type: Brown Firelizard
Pet Name: Wakmin
Pet Age: 1

Brief Description of Persona:

  • Wakminleti, or Minleti as he calls himself (and often times others call him), has yet to go through his growth spurt. Standing at a "giant" height of 4'6" and weighing in at the 'slightly'-chubby weight of 122 pounds, Minleti is, indeed, a laughing matter. His hair is a thick unbrushed dirty-blonde, and his eyes are a muddy mulled brown in colour. His face is thick with freckles and pimples, none of which ever seem to fade or disappear. He speaks in a low pitched nasal voice, and is constantly coughing, snorting, sniffling, or gurgling from his seemingly never-ending cold.

Minleti is one of those constant chatterers, who love to talk about themselves, their relatives, their friends, their pets, how great they are, their lives, their favorite food...anything, so long as the subject can contribute to something that has to do with them. He forever speaks in the same monotone voice, and will always interrupt a person every two words, just to basically hear himself talk. He thinks everyone wants to be his friend, and has quite a few "best friends" that, when they have the pleasure of being alone and talking among themselves, talk behind his back. He's constantly trying to be better than everyone else, though he rarely ever succeeds, but he'll think of a way that he was wronged so that the failure was really just an accident. He's an egocentric, through and through, and, despite what some people say, has no inner feelings of a lost boy trying to prove himself to the world.

    Brief History of Persona:

  • Born to a Senior Journeyman Smith and a Cook at Coral Reef Weyr, Minleti was a complete accident. The cook had been taking some certain herbs to help prevent her from getting pregnent, but, nonetheless, get pregnent she did, and soon she had a bouncing baby boy that she named Wakminleti, after her deceased grandfather. Minleti's father grudgingly stayed around to help raise him to the age of four turns, and then left (rather happily, actually) to go on assignment to a hold somewhere else. His mother spoiled him in the worst way, giving him far more than his share in dessert, always letting him get away with things, and ignoring any complaints others made about his actions.

  • The boy bragged about how he could do anything, driving the other weyrbrats mad, and would take on any job given to him to prove that he was 'great' at 'everything.' Finally, one day he complained to his mother about wanting to go join a craft, and she agreed a bit hesitently, before sending him to join the weaver craft. As a going away present, she gave him a flit egg. Minleti stayed around long enough for the egg to hatch a brown, which Minleti named after himself, calling it Wakmin. As soon as the flit was a week old, Minleti joined the weaver craft, and went to the hall to study, and slowly made his way through the first year of apprenticeship...

    Brief Description of Pet:

  • Wakmin is a light sandy brown, with a thick, short snout. He seems to have no neck, and especially elongated limbs, with an unaturally long tail (that may be making up for his lack of neck) that can easily curl around him. He appears to be deathly thin for a flit, though he eats more than most flits do. He's one of the few things that seems to like his disagreeable master, and can always be found sitting on Minleti's shoulder, preening himself and trying to catch the attention of any passing green or gold.
