Dragon Name: Lemacheth She views life as it happens. She holds the belief that events happen for a reason and she should not wallow over personal losses or seperation from those that she is close to. Her mental strength can be seen through her view of life. She is seen as one that people can come and talk to if they want to -- providing that shoulder to cry upon, an open ear, and an understanding heart. Even though she's a weyrbrat, she can be seen as quiet loner by those that do not really know her. This 'loneliness' comes from her always being occupied in thought with one thing or another. Her preference to remain around many people comes from growing up in the weyr. She remains loyally close to her friends and the others that matter in her life. Brief Description of History: Because of this, Galatea knew more about dragons than she would have liked. She personally preferred to be either in the water or up late at night watching the stars preform their ritual dances. She disliked to cross her parents and rarely ever did. She made an agreement with them that she would stand once when she was of age, and if she did not Impress, that that would be the end of it all. Even though she was hoping to Impress, not for her parents but for herself, she did not expect to Impress. Her life changed forever when a little green cried to her for food. Lemacheth helped Galatea grow both in mind and spirit. Galatea became more understanding of her parents' wishes. With gentle nudgings from her new lifemate, Galatea finally learned the courage to tell her parents that it was her life now and that if she needed something, she would go to them for it. It pleased, yet hurt her parents when they realized that their little girl had grown up. A couple turns later, Galatea's mother became another victim to the horrors of thread. After her death, Galatea's father withdrew himself from the rest of the weyr and only was seen upon fighting thread or in drills. This created more of a rift in her relationship with her father, yet it created more of a desire in herself to destroy thread.
Description of Pet: Three things drive Vaga: Attention of Rider and Dragon, Fun, and strange(ly shaped) objects.
Description of Dragon: Lemacheth has grown mentally with the guidance of Galatea, as well as mentally guiding Galatea upon her own self discovery. Lemacheth holds a grudge towards Thread for the emotional scarring her rider endured from her mother's death. Even though she has an 'open' attitude towards life, Lemacheth is laid back like most other dragons. She prefers to remain either in the water or in the sun warming herself during the daylight hours, time permitting.
