Name:Gemanrik
Age: 29
Craft: Tanner
Rank: Sr.Journeyman

Brief Description of Persona:

  • Gemanrik has Dark brown hair and shockingly blue eyes. He is a slimly built man, thin but tall, with plenty of strength to his frame. His features are a mix of delicate and heavy: a thin nose and beautiful eyes contrasting with his heavy bushy eyebrows. He is still somehow attractive, though his face never wears a smile.

  • Gemanrik, at one time was a cheery person, always able to cheer others out of their gloom. Always with a smile and a joke. Since Hacreth's death, he rarely smiles and never laughs. The eyes under his furrowed brows are dark and shadowed with the grief that he must forever bear as a Dragonless man. He is a smart man, but is not arrogant with his cleverness. One thing that has not changed about Gemanrik since he became a dragonless man is that he often knows just what to do to make others feel better.

    Brief Description of History:
  • Gemanrik was raised in a crafthall by his mother, a Journeyman Tanner. He grew up never knowing his father, and though he often asked, his mother would never tell him who it was. Others at the hall had a suspicion that a visiting dragonrider (who had visited all too frequently prior to Gemanrik's birth) was his father. He apprenticed to the craft when he became old enough and was quite good at the craft. On a routine trip to the nearby weyr with his mother, a young blue dragon took a most unusual interest in him, and before he could leave the Weyr he was dubbed 'Candidate'. When the next clutch lay on the hatching ground sands, Gemanrik stood amongst many other young men and women and was chosen by brown Hacreth. At the Weyr, G'man found a new home, as welcoming as he could have hoped and he did well. After a couple of difficulties were overcome, G'man made an excellent wingman. Thirteen turns later, during what seemed to be a normal Threadfall, Hacreth and G'man were hit from behind as a patch of thread hit them both in the back. Hacreth immediately transferred between to the Weyr, but came in too low because of his injuries. He ploughed into the ground and severely injured his legs. G'man fell to the ground, his riding straps seared by the thread. Hacreth went between, too confused by his injuries to realize that G'man still lived and that he could eventually recover. G'man was left Gemanrik, A Dragonless man. Soon after Hacreth's death, Gemanrik was returned to the tanner crafthall, where he was born, in hopes that he would recover. His mother nursed him and slowly gave him back his will to live. Gemanrik then decided to return to the craft, and became a Journeyman. Recently he made the decision to go back to the weyr that he loved so much; as a tanner to the Weyr.
