Kypparon, better known as Kyp, is easily called tall, dark, and handsome. Standing at 5'9, he is not slender, but he's not fat; 'well-built', he likes to call it. Mercenary work has hardened his mind and body and taught him control, though he doesn't always practice it.
He is good-looking, boasting strong, almost noble features. His eyes are a shade of brown like klah. His hair is a dark brown, and he wears it to his shoulders.
Kyp can't be summed up too easily. Mercenary training and the early loss of his parents have hardened him, but not completely overcome his nature. Rash, brash, and impudent, Kyp tends to speak what he's thinking, a trait that has offended many people. He carries around a core of anger in his heart that often boils up and scorches other people.
Kyp enjoys fighting, using it to release his anger and relieve frustrations, but it is that habit that keeps him losing jobs. He seems to have an enemy in every Hold, Hall, and Weyr he's ever visited, all who are looking for a chance to pay him back.
Despite this, Kyp has a good side. He is fiercly loyal to those he calls friend, though it is hard for him to make them. Whatever job he currently holds, he throws his all into it, though he won't keep a job he hates.
Kyp is fascinated with dragons and hopes that soon a rider will Search him and call him Candidate before it's too late. Until then, he'll happily help was and oil other people's dragons, and he won't even charge them for it.
Brief History of Persona:
Kypparon lived with his parents in a small cottage by Southern Boll Hold for the first five Turns of his life. He was just a normal Hold boy, a bit rambunctious and adventurous, but many were like that. However, raiders killed his parents when he was only five, and young Kypparon was left to fend for himself.
If not for a passing band of mercenaries lead by a man named Corstek, he would have died. But Corstek's groups found him. Many of them were all for leaving him, but young Keiran, then only 16, argued for keeping the boy. Shouldering all the responsibility, Keiran let Kyp (as the boy identified himself) take of his share of food and sleep in his space. When the mercenaries swung by Keiran's home, he left young Kyp with his family.
Keiran kept in constant contact with Kyp. When he Impressed, Kyp was saddened, fearing he wouldn't see his friend again, but he was proved wrong. After graduation K'ran came to visit Kyp every restday. Kyp and K'ran developed a relationship that was a mix of father/son and brotherly, and Kyp and Rogueth got along famously well.
When Kyp turned fourteen, Neja and K'ran secured him a place with Corstek's band of mercenaries. Kyp spent five enjoyable Turns with the group, taking well to the mercenary life. What made it even more enjoyable was that, three sevendays out of the year, K'ran would come and join Kyp and the mercenaries in prowling Pern; Rogueth flew behind them at a distance and hunted all dangerous animals, as well as providing a lookout.
Kyp followed K'ran to Coral Reef Weyr . He Impressed Blue Warth at his first Standing on the Hatching Sands
