Brief Description of Persona:
Standing a little above the average height at 5'8" Kazey, often called
Zey,
is a dark toned girl. Light blue eyes framed by long black lashes
contrast
with her slightly-darker-than-klah complexion. A small scar decorates
one
corner of her full lips, forming a line that is almost white. Her jaw
is a
little too square, and her chin seems to always have a stubborn tilt to
it.
Zey's her hair is black and was once very long, but she cut it short
upon
becoming a candidate. The short crop doesn't go well with her face, but
Zey
did it for convieniance rather than style. She weighs around 135, her
waist
being trim but not tiny, paired with long legs, slight hips, and little
breasts.
Zey is a smart girl, a trait inherited from her harper father. She is
very
well read, and particularly enjoys history. Perhaps because so much of
Pern's known history centered on dragons Kazey has always been
fascinated
with them. She's a bit shy, having grown up in a place where few
strangers
visited, but she has become more outgoing in recent turns. She is
particularly shy around men due to lack of experiance (only having had
one
serious boyfriend) and having seen a bit too much as a bartender at the
Lair. Kazey has always gravitated more towards animals than people- a
silly
little antic by her firelizard can cheer her up more quickly than any
human
can. She has a quiet determination about her; in an argument she may
not be
the loudest person, but she always has an opinion, and she is good at
expressing them.
Brief History of Persona:
The oldest of five children born to a hold-girl mother and a crafter
father
(who had been just passing through, but was forced into marriage the
young
woman became pregnant with Kazey and her father insisted upon the
marriage)
Kazey had a reasonably happy, and unremarkable childhood. She grew up
in a
cot hold consisting of her grandfather, his four daughters and their
husbands and numerous children.
Her home cothold was definitely a strange one- what with three
generations
of family isolated together in one place. At the age of 13 when one of
her
older male cousins tried to get a little too friendly Zey decided it
was
time to move one. Catching a ride with a traveling harper somehow the
girl
found herself at the Aziran Runner Station.
Kazey was a good runner, not the best, or the fastest, but she had a
steady
pace and held her own. Her waist length black hair was a burden in this
craft, but she couldn't bring herself to cut it. Here she met Bretian,
another runner she became very close to. He was her first lover but
they
soon realized it was the wrong type of relationship for them-
consequently,
they have been best friends ever since. She spent a good four turns
running
messages, but after a while it caught up to her, and she decided there
wasn't a future in it for her after her third ankle sprain in a month.
This time the wind blew Zey to Dragon's Lair Cot & Ale where she became
a
bartender. It wasn't a job she particularly liked, but it paid well
enough.
As it would happen, she was lucky that chance had taken her there, for
only
a few months after her arrival she was searched for Corral Reef Weyr.
Brief Description of Pet:
Vesta is a big, brightly colored green. She is a
happy,
high energy creature, and she often amuses Zey with her antics. It
seems to
be Vesta's mission in life to cheer Zey whenever she is in a bad mood.
