Aside from people, Zegger also dealt with the Hall’s flits and other creatures. He spent hours upon hours researching and studying the little creatures, as well as their bigger cousins. While he was surly with people, he was amazingly gentle with the flits. As his behavior grew worse with his human patients, the master decided to send Zegger to Coral Reef as a dragonhealer, hoping that the man might be more use there.

Zegger’s research knowledge didn’t prepare him at all for the flood of hands-on training he received at the Weyr, but as the need presented itself, he quickly grew adapt. Soon, he was training, against his will and others’ better judgement, apprentices in his trade. Although they all loathe him, as most people do, he was a good teacher, and highly respected. When Hidden Falls Weyrhold was opened, he immediately applied for the position of dragonhealer. There were already quite a few dragonhealers at Coral Reef, and Zegger wanted to relax, so he transferred.
