A'larie isn't a large man standing at 5'6 and he's very lean, almost sleek. He has the kind of broad shouldered, lean hipped body type. In terms of looks his hair is reddish-brown and curly, cut very short and close to his head - just long enough to curl over his ears. His eyes are brown and his skin is fair, sunburning in too much sunshine. His looks aren't bad with a square jaw, high cheek bones, lean nose and a high forehead. He likes well fitting, dark coloured clothings in casual styles but he does dress up when he wants to be. His body is still fit, limber and toned from the special limbering exercises he learned in his acting days.
A'larie is a stable, even-tempered guy. Tending to come across as a bit arrogant and over confident he's not a bad sort really. Confident, easy going and laid back he's fairly good company. He likes the company of both the ladies and the men, not minding either way. If he has a downside it's that he cannot say no to anybody. That includes in matters of the bedroom. The tendancy has gotten him into some trouble over the turns and spawned his many brats. A'larie has quite a good surprisingly deep baritone when he sings. He's also very talented with all manner of drums and has great rhythem in that department. But his true love is acting, he's very good at it too. Acting is the main area where he concentrated on in his long ago apprenticeship and later when he took it up again. He is attention seeking, plus good enough that he enjoys doing the lead or taking up a part in a performance. In the last few turns he's also become something of a historian and is quite a good researcher finding that the more he discovers from reading dusty old scrolls and records the more interested he gets. He tends to be the one you'd come to for historical details and documents.
Brief History of Persona:
A'larie was born Alarson to a pair of Journeyman Healers stationed at Coral Reef Hold. As the only child appearing late in the picture, his parents had almost given up hope by the time he arrived. So he was recieved gratefully and spoilt. It meant he was something of a spoilt, attention seeking brat. Any tendancies in this direction tended to be squashed flat by many of the hold and hallfolk around them so he didn't get to bad. His parents also fostered Jagar, a nephew of his father's dragonrider brother with the idea of giving Alarson a companion. It worked in a way for the pair of cousins grew fairly close and got to be good friends. A bit of a lazy child interested in doing his own thing Alarson wasn't really interested in any of the crafts. Neither did he particuarly dream about being a dragonrider as many Pernese children did. NO, he preferred to spent as much time as possible hanging around his many friends and playmates, usually putting on small performances for his own and his friends amusement. However his choice to avoid the crafthalls ended when he was 15. He meet Renald, a Senior Apprentice Harpet-Actor and he was hooked. Both on him as as a lover, friend and on his chosen craft. So with his usual ease he apprenticed himself to the harper craft at 15 turns and was accepted. At about the same time his cousin Jagar got Searched for Dawning Light Weyr and Impressed a brown. While he had a good voice and was good at the drums he stuck to the acting side of it, delighting in doing something he'd always loved. He also turned out to be very good at acting as well and he liked the limbering exercises they had to do. He just made it to senior apprentice at 20 when he was Searched for Coral Reef Weyr.
Weyrlife was something he took in stride and enjoyed from the day he arrived. He liked the open, liberal atmphshere and attitude weyrfolk had, he also didn't Impress on his first try. But he chose to stay on at the weyr after and try again the following turn. At 21 right on the cut off age and his last try at getting a dragon he Impressed his blue Taloth. Renaming himself A'larie he began working his way through Weyrlinghood and it wasn't long before the blue pairing graduated into a fighting wing. The next few turns were largely uneventful for the pair of them. Without Threadfall and without much to do except their daily drills. Not long after his 24th birthing day he hastily decided to transfer them to Telger Weyr, one of the Northern weyrs, because he was in trouble for sleeping with the Dawning Light Lord Holder's daughter. The experience taught him some control and he was more cautious on who he chose to get involved with but he still slept around, tending to chose males after that bad experience. Looking for something more to do he returned to his harper roots and began training for his jr journeyman knots. He also began involving himself in Hatching Feast performances - both the musically and performance wise. Eventually he gained his juniour journeyman knots and was rather proud of himself. He also gained for himself a perminant weyrmate: K'cen, green Yrath's rider. The return of Thread was a new occurance in his life too. Over the turns he's helped create several children too, although he knows of only 4 for sure. However despite his new duties and his fraying relationship A'larie has decided for a change. He's decided to go back home and is transferring back down south to Dawning Light, following a sense of homesickeness that has never left him. He is also liking the idea that he will be close to his cousin J'gar whom he's still close to and meeting up with his old friend and sometimes lover Renald.
Brief Description of Dragon:
Taloth is a small to average sized blue and is built along quite sleek lines. HIs colouring is a the the blue-green shade of the ocean on an overcast day. In terms of personality Taloth is as even tempered and confident as his rider. Quite fun loving, out going and he adores flits.
