Physical: I'an stands at about 5'7 and has quite a solid, muscliar build. SO he's a fairly sturdy, solid sort of young man. In terms of looks his slightly long sunbleached blonde hair and dark grey eyes tend to stand out. HIs skin is tanned and healhty looking giving him quite attractive colouring. His facial features are average with an angular jaw, lean cheekbones, nose slightly to big for his face and a broad forehead. But his broad grin and easy laugh, his colouring and his personality seem to attract the boys and the girls. ALthough he tends to turn the girls down polietly. I'an also has a habit of going around barefoot, something he's picked up from working on ship decks.
Emotional: I'an is an easy going, hearty sort of guy. Always up for a good time, a good laugh, a good mug of ale, a good brawl whatever he's not fussy as long as he's enjoying himself. A bit of a joker he's one of these people that's always cracking jokes and making a bit of a clown out of himself. He tends to like to tease people too but it's all done in fun. He'd never deliberatly hurt or offend anybody he's too much of a softie for that. I'an tends to try to come across as gruff and grumpy but he often fails at this his general sunny, cheery nature ruining his efforts. He's also very flirty and has a broad streak of the outrageous in his character. If he has a downside it's his commitment ratio. Although still young he has a bit of a fear of commitment. He also has a bit of a hard time keeping secrets. Not that he doesn't try to keep them but he has a habit of blurting things out. He loves the sea - tending to feel soothed, exhilerated and challenged by it.
Brief History of Persona:
Iian was one of three sons born to a Thadius, a Sr Journeyman Seacrafter and First Mate on his elder brother's ship, and his dolphineer wife Ohera. I'an's childhood was pretty ordinary with his destiny all mapped out for him. Like his father, grandfather and most of the males in their family he was destined to become a seacrafter. Like all the males in his family, bar one (his eldest brother loved the land) he inherited their love for the sea. He also developed something of his own, an interest in his own sex. This was something not something he hid and living in a quite a liberal family he wasn't persecuted for his interest. He was also too big for the local lads to beat him up and harass him too much for it. Indeed he tended to attract playmates fairly easily. At 13 he Apprentied as a Seacrafter at Ista Hold and followed the family destiny. Happy to be doing what he was meant to do and loving it along the way he began learning the skills that would make him a seacrafter. As a senior apprentice he slowly began training to work as deck hand on another of his many uncle's ships with the idea to work his way up the ship heirachy. But he only made it another turn or two before a Searchrider came to their hold from Ista Weyr and he was Searched. This was a bit of a shock for him and his family for nobody in his family had ever been Searched before. But always game to try something new and happy to go with it, with his family's support - a dragonrider in the family was always useful - he went. So at 17 he found himself standing on the Hatching Sands a month later facing his new destiny, his little green beauty Ilitath. Weyrlinghood was something he took in stride and the green pairing progressed through their training graduating into a fighting wing with the rest of their class. The pair prooved to be good Thread fighting team and Ilitath quickly grew good at close flying. The type of skillfull flying that means getting close to the ground and flying fast without crashing or any other disasters. However I'an thinks they need a new challenge and has decided to transfer them down to Dawning Light Weyr.
Brief Description of Dragon:
Ilitath is an average size green built along sleek lines. Her colouring is a rich moss green with lighter yellow-green shading to the leading edges of her wings and to her tail. She has a small Thread scar on her shoulder but is in good condition. In terms of personality she's as easy going and sunny natured as her rider. She's also a terrible flirt and likes attention from male dragons.
