K'ralli is what one would call the
'tall and lanky' type, standing at an even 6'0", with a small, thin build,
and weighing around 155 pounds. He has short, but still
silky-textured, light brown hair and dazzling emerald green eyes that seem to
constantly twinkle with an inner fire. His skin has a rich bronze tone to it
not from genetics, but from all the time spent in the sun in his home
up North in the Igen Desert. Most women would say that K'ralli looks
rather handsome-and, of course, many women up North _do_ say so. His
facial features are slightly plain-looking, however-they are not too
sharp, yet they are also not too boyish. He also has a Threadscore scar on
the outside edge of his upper left arm, a result of leaning a little to
far when he was giving his dragon more firestone during a Fall.
K'ralli's personality greatly
reflects the general personality of anyone that lives in the area he grew up.
In other words, he is laid-back and enjoys just sitting around, taking
it easy. Many people would probably call him lazy, but he always
responds to that with a simple "live one day in the place I've lived in all
my life...then we'll see who the lazy one is".
One would expect from his looks to be one of the most introverted
people one could find, but really K'ralli is a very outgoing person, and
once someone shows an interest in hearing what the man has to say, they'd
better be prepared to "have their ear talked off", as some would put
it. Unfortunately, the brownrider has a very dry sense of humor, and is
barely able to tell a joke at all because of it.
Brief History of Persona:
K'ralli was born Kirallin (pronounced
kih-RAWL-in), the son of minor Igen holder Kiral and his spouse, a
Journeywoman Harper named Linelia. He lived the life of any Igen holder, which
explains the color of his skin and his personality. He was also part of
a normal Hold family, with 3 older brothers, 1 younger brother, 1 older
sister, and 2 younger sisters.
His mother first saw his artistic potential when she noticed that most
of his time was spent drawing little pictures in the sand with various
sticks he would find lying on the ground, and she talked her spouse
into letting Kirallin become a Harper. The 12-Turns-old boy soon found
his place among the Artists of the Harper Hall. Not two days before his
16th birthingday, he was Searched for the Hatching at Igen Weyr. Three
sevendays later, and Kirallin found himself the proud lifemate of a
beautiful brown dragonet. As he grew older, K'ralli continued his Harper
training, even well past Weyrlinghood.
After 11 long Turns at Igen Weyr, the brownrider decided that he needed
to take a permanent break from the North and transferred to Dawning
Light Weyr, while his younger brother, a greenrider, transferred to Coral
Reef Weyr.
Brief Description of Dragon:
Kyubith is one of the larger brown
lengths, his size rivaling most smaller bronzes. Kyubith, however, is
slightly thinner than normal, but is still mainly a well-proportioned dragon,
if you don't consider his slightly longer and broader wings. People
_know_ when Kyubith is flying in from the sight of the seemingly ungainly
wings. These wings give the brown an advantage, however-because of
their size, he is rather fast and slightly better at maneuverability than
most browns of his size.
Kyubith is, personality-wise, the same, yet not the same, as his rider.
Like K'ralli, Kyubith has a dry sense of humor, but the brown isn't
quite as outgoing as his rider is. The one definite personality trait
shared by both dragon and rider is the laid-back and so-called "lazy"
nature that comes from the area of their raising.
