She traveled from the Northern Continent to Southern Continent various times either by traveling with Mercenaries or Trade caravans as they made their crossings of Pern. She often was able to travel with these groups becuase of her beauty, singing voice, and willingness to work hard at various jobs. As a result, she became very handy in the original crafts of her parents, and then some more. Then the return of Thread came and the advenures of her childhood and early adulthood came to a hault. She was among the rare few to glimpse the first fall of Thread when Pern had assumed she was safe from it. The return of Thread brought another disaster to Tallana that would nearly claim her life. Too late to entirely escape a fall, Tallana was badly scored across her left eye as she made for shelter from Thread. After the fall, Tallana was able to make it to a nearby hold and her life and sight was saved by the hold's healer, although the healer was too late to stop the scaring that would occur from the wound.

Afterwards, when she was able to travel Tallana left the hold that had saved her and continued to wander Pern traveling towards weyrs and weyrholds, feeling more secure with them than the trails of her younger years. During this timeframe she found out just how rapidly the scoring changed her life from being a mere traveler with the best of Pern to truly being holdless. No longer as beautiful as she had once been, Traders and Mercenaries looked upon her with grimaces and offered little tolerence for the woman and were openly glad when she arrived at the Lower Caverns of Dawning Light Weyr and decided to stay put. Crushed, Tallana accepted a drudges position and allowed herself to sink to the bottom of the world, or so in her mind. Yet here another life altering event would occur that would drag Tallana from her dark world. As it would happen, a clutch lay on the Hatching Ground sands.

During the Hatching, Tallana was a candidate standing among those who were hopeful dragonriders. A large egg shattered and a impressivly huge green dragonete hatched. Not wanting any of the candidates who tried to coax her to them, green Melianth found only Tallana to be the one she wanted as a lifemate by claiming proudly, }: See, you were ready for me and here I have come, to be yours forever! I don't even have to ask for food, although I am immensly hungry, Tallana:{.

Three turns later and Tallana's wounded heart is on the mend between the love of her Melianth, Takan, and her weyrmate, K'eiji. Her past experiences no longer trouble her and she draws upon her past to do the best she can for others and one day, she'll realize just who she is and what she means to Pern as a dragonrider and as Tallana for being Tallana.

Brief Description of Dragon:

Norei is a very young gold firelizard that has a lovely dark shade of gold with hints of dark bronze and lighter gold shading under her wings and neck. As she's young, she's got much growth to see, but its obvious thats she's going to be a fairly large queen when she gets older. Personality wise, she's a very proud, bossy little creature, and the leading contendor for a spot on Tallana's shoulder with Takan as she's strongly attached to her person. Whether or not those two will manage to work out a solution amongst themselves, remains to be seen. Till then, Tallana is going to need how to learn with rapidly changing flits on a single particular shoulder. Life for Tallana looks to be very lively from now on.
