Brief Description of Persona:
Like most of the men in his family, Vinutfer is tall, easily 6'5" and at least several inches taller than many of his relatives. He has a lean, wiry strength and doesn't show strength by bodybuilder muscle so much as he does by simply exuding that quality. Long-limbed, his broad shoulders taper down into narrow hips and then to his long, muscular legs. His build and height, in fact, are much like his cousin Gratreal's, but there the similarity ends. His dark, brown-black hair is slightly wavy and almost shoulder-length, framing a strong, square jaw and darkly tanned face. Amid the harsh angles and planes that form his facial features, his pale grey eyes are both surprising and disconcerting to those who don't know Vinutfer and sometimes even to those who do. Vinutfer tends to wear tunics and breeches in dark, earthy colors as well as boots. The only jewelry he wears is a necklace that was given to him by his first love.
Vinutfer is, plain and simple, intimidating both physical and emotionally. Not an extremely talkative person, he nonetheless is not silent but uses pauses and uncomfortable silences to intimidate people. His humor tends toward the darker, more satirical and he can be a bit cynical. Completely ruthless in his pursuits, he is not a mean person, just not one of the really nice, polite guys. He is confident, sometimes overly so, or that's what his cousins tell him anyway, but he has a strength for recognizing and understanding other people's strengths and weaknesses and where they fit into any plans. His group of friends, brothers and cousins often turn to him for plans because they know he will put people where they will excel. He also tends to feel responsible for anyone he considers a friend or family and will not accept weakness in himself where he can understand it in other people. He pushes himself to the very limit of his endurance before backing off and has more of a quiet, menacing temper than a loud, yelling one. If someone insults or slights him, he tends to issue a quiet challenge, not losing his temper very often but scaring the crap out of most people who try to get to him.

Brief History of Persona:
Vinutfer was born to healers at Telgar Weyr, the first of four, with one brother and two sisters. Vinutfer had a fairly normal weyrbrat life, though because his parents were crafters rather than dragonriders, he saw them constantly and grew up under their hand instead of under a foster parent. In the pecking order, even when he was young, Vinutfer was near the top thanks to his strong genetics and even stronger personality. He constantly watched out for his siblings, as he saw it was his duty as eldest, and did not take slights easily. As he grew older, he learned to keep his temper and simply scare people with quiet, menacing challenges that most backed off from. When he was 9, his parents decided to go help his Aunt Caryen, who had lost her husband and was raising her five children on her own. Vinutfer was a little upset about being uprooting from his normal life, but quickly grew to love being in the caravan, traveling constantly. He and his cousin Gratreal hung around quite a bit and when his aunt remarried three turns later, he, Gratreal and Gratreal's new step-brother, Aexan, all were the same age and formed their little group of seven. They included some of their younger cousins and brothers but were the main leaders of the group. Gratreal being the quiet, supportive one, Aexan the charmer and Vinutfer the planner of all their mischief. When they were finally forced to choose crafts, they split up, with Gratreal and Aexan going to become smiths and Vinutfer becoming a dragonhealer at High Reaches Weyr. Vinutfer advanced fairly quickly through the ranks and made jr.journeyman by 18. He celebrated with Gratreal and Aexan when they came to the Weyr after being Searched, but were quickly seperated again when Vinutfer was assigned to Telgar Weyr. Then, surprising the heck out of Vinutfer, he was Searched not too many days after being assigned as a dragonhealer there.
After a very bad relationship, Vin'fer decided that he and Filth were going to leave Telgar, and neither made it public as to where they were going. They stopped off at Fort Weyr to spend some time with Vin'fers cousin Grat'ral who had impressed a brown dragon also. Ax'an also impressed, but a large blue the three spent almost a half turn together before Vin'fer and Filth finally made their way down to Dawning Light Weyr. The disposed wing second hoped that he could pick up his life and possibly start over with out the hassle of his ex-mate following him.
Brief Description of Dragon:
Filth is a very quiet, almost shy brown. He only stands up to his rider whom he thinks at time is stubborn. Filth is very wise; sometimes he's the 'brains' between him and his rider. Quiet and observing, though commanding when need be. He likes to talk, and will often be found in the company of any that are willing to listen. He is a very fast flyer, and has the stamina to last a full fall. He is quite capable of catching golds which he did several times at Telgar Weyr. For a short period of time he was mated to a junior queen till she decided that he was not a bronze and didn't act enough like a bronze. He is easily wounded mentally and so is quite guarded for a brown.
