From the outside, Zallie is all sugar and lace. Her sweet, round, baby face, with pink cheeks, red lips, and chrystal blue eyes is framed angelically by masses of blonde ringlets. She is short, slim, and always wearing the most fashionable, attractive clothes that she can get away with, even if low tops, short skirs and fine shoes are not at all practical for her craft.
Zallie is a storm of emotions, impulses and whimsies, all coated by a layer of pure stubbornness. Brought up incredibly spoiled, she despises just about everything at the Hall. She hates studying, going to lessons, getting up before the fourth hour after dawn, spending less than an hour getting herself ready in the mornings, being told what to do, having to eat this sludge they call food, having to go to sleep at a certain hour... the list is endless. Almost every day she makes up something else she hates. But the theory lessons are the /good/ part, she says, if you catch her
just after some practical lessons. Because they're even worse. Standing in the cold wind (and often rain) for hours at a time (it messes up her hair!) while someone talked and some dolphins swam in circles - (Oh, and don't forget that she hates those slimy, grey rubber dolphins, too) and then after that having to go /swimming/! Ugh. Horrible, just horrible.
This is made even worse for her teachers by the fact that whenever she has to do something she doesn't want to, she throws a tantrum.
Even after four years of doing the same thing every day, she will NO go swimming at dawn! NEVER NEVER NEVER! But eventually, when they
drag her kicking and screaming down to the water and throw her in, she goes. She's still doing first-year-apprentice work, because none
of it ever sinks in and she REFUSES to do any tests. Basically, she's just an incredible headache for everyone who has to deal with her,
and it doesn't look like they'll be getting rid of her soon. At the very least, the poor new apprentices that she spends her time pushing
around, only have to deal with her for one year. The poor teachers keep having her.
Brief History of Persona:
Zallie, being the younger daughter of the wealthy, influencial Telgar Lord Holder up north, grew up spoiled. She could have anything she wanted, anything at all, and her parents were convinced that her ability to weedle any little thing out of them was a sure sign of her success in the world. And so, when she turned twelve, they decided to send her to a craft, so she could 'work her charm' there, and when she admitted she thought dolphins were cute, they decided on the dolphin hall on the Southern Continent. Despite her lack of experience in the area, the
Craftmaster was an old friend of her dad's, and so she got in. (Note, this is why she hasn't been kicked out yet.)
At home, in the comforts of a Lord Holder's domain, Zallie was limited to bullying her younger brother, bossing around the servants,
and begging her latest 'must have' from her lenient and doting daddy. But things changed when she was sent to the Dolphin Hall. Shocked at
the dismal, cramped living conditions of the apprentices, and her teacher's iron-cold insistance that she did have to go to lessons
every day and do all the other degrading chores, she quickly developed a stormy, stubborn temper that kept almost everyone at bay.
Her days in the hall haven't been pleasant for everyone involved, yet for some reason, her parents have not brought her back home, and
insisted that she make it to at least journeyman, 'to prove to everyone what you can do'. But considering her absolute hatred of
hard work, that could take a long, long time. And some suspect her parents weren't as wide-eyed and innocent as they appeared, sending her away, for ever since then, her stormy letters of outrage and temper tantrums have been met with a smile and a "Oh, she's absolutely /loving/ it down there!"
